Helping Others – It’s In The Blood.

We want to say the biggest of thank you’s to the incredible volunteers behind Bloodrun EVS.
This Teesside charity have been doing awesome work for several years now – originally bikers who focused on supporting the NHS by delivering emergency supplies of blood and other essential medicines between our local hospitals.
They now have 60 volunteers – back by four motorbikes and four cars – that have enabled them to expand this work in support of the NHS across Cleveland and North Yorkshire.
They’ve even had one of their cars adapted with a screen to allow their volunteers to drive Covid-19 patients home when they’ve recovered from the virus.
And they’re now delivering Covid test samples for the NHS on Teesside to test centres as far afield as Tyneside and York.
We’ve previously made them officially Teesside Heroes – and the Philanthropic Foundation is grateful for their recent support of our charity, doing stuff like:
***Delivering iPad Minis donated by our charity and supporters to local hospitals and hospices to allow seriously ill patients to stay in touch with loved ones.
***Delivering two batches of hand sanitiser donated by Yarm Distillery and PPE to Teesside charities who are helping the vulnerable, isolated and shielding during the Covid crisis.
***Delivering visors to local charities – specially made at the Blacksmiths Arms, Swainby.
***They even delivered a Teesside Heroes Award to our friends at Poolie Time Exchange in Hartlepool!
Thank you, Bloodrun and your amazing volunteers. We think you’re bloody marvels!
