Food Cycle use food which would otherwise go to waste to nourish the hungry and lonely in our communities.
You’ll work as part of a team to prep the venue, serve a delicious meal, and clear up afterwards whilst building lasting relationships with guests, ensuring they come back each week.
* An average hosting slot is 4 hours.

FoodCycle is a charity dedicated to reducing food waste while nourishing the hungry and lonely in our communities. They provide delicious, nutritious meals to people who are struggling, offering a welcoming space to connect and enjoy great conversation. By working with surplus food that would otherwise go to waste, FoodCycle creates a positive impact on both the environment and the community.

As a Hosting Volunteer, you’ll work with the rest of the team to create a warm and welcoming environment for guests. You will help serve free, delicious meals and share in meaningful conversation, making sure everyone feels valued and supported. The role will also involve assisting with front-of-house duties and providing excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teamwork: Work with the team to prep the venue, serve meals, and clear up after the event.
  • Relationship Building: Build lasting relationships with guests, ensuring they return week after week.
  • Hosting: Support front-of-house duties, including serving food, interacting with guests, and demonstrating good customer service skills.
