Regeneration of Communities (RoC) is a community gardening group based at Saltersgill Allotment. They are dedicated to helping people grow their own food, work in harmony with nature, and become more self-sufficient through educational workshops. Their goal is to provide a welcoming, organic space where the community can learn the skills needed to grow food naturally and sustainably.

RoC practices organic gardening and follows a No-Dig method, working without chemicals and aiming to reduce, recycle, and repurpose wherever possible. They are always looking for like-minded individuals who want to help the community while learning about sustainable gardening practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Gardening Tasks: Tasks may include seed sowing, weeding, mulching, building raised beds, moving compost and manure, and painting the shed.
• Work with Nature: Help maintain and enhance the allotment using organic, no-dig gardening methods.
• Community Engagement: Join the group for educational workshops and support others in learning how to grow their own food.

Time Commitment:
RoC hosts Community Action Days on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month. They can also accommodate small groups on prearranged dates, making it flexible for volunteers to get involved. Each session is a chance to work together, learn, and make a positive impact on the community and environment.

What You’ll Need:

• Gardening Gloves: It’s advisable to bring your own gloves, though RoC has tools and equipment available for the tasks.
• Positive Attitude: No prior experience is required – just a willingness to get your hands dirty, learn, and help out.

Regeneration of Communities is looking for passionate volunteers to join them and make a difference while learning valuable gardening skills. Whether you’re new to gardening or have years of experience, they welcome all who are interested in helping out and contributing to this great community initiative.
