The Unicorn Centre offers riding therapy and learning opportunities to disabled children and adults.
* Assisting in lessons with our disabled participants by leading or side-walking.
* Grooming, tacking up for lessons, mucking out and other yard duties.

The Unicorn Centre is a purpose-built Riding for the Disabled (RDA) Centre which offers riding therapy and learning opportunities to disabled children and adults from across Teesside and the surrounding area.  The Unicorn Centres mission is to improve the lives of disabled people through the medium of horses.

They are looking for volunteers who can assist in riding sessions with Disabled Adults & Children

Tasks may include:

  • Taking care of our horses and ponies by helping with grooming, tacking up for lessons, mucking out and other yard duties as required.
  • Assisting in lessons with our disabled participants by leading or side-walking.
  • Maintenance of the Centre – i.e. DIY, gardening and cleaning.

You will need strong shoes, boots or wellies, gloves and warm clothing.
