The Link Charitable Trust is a dynamic charity supporting children, young people, families, and vulnerable adults. The charity’s mission is to respond to local needs, and one of its most cherished initiatives is the Allotment Project. This space is not just about gardening—it’s a hub for wellbeing, creativity, and connection.
As a volunteer, you will assist the lead at the allotment by helping to maintain the area, keeping it tidy, safe, and inviting. You will support the upkeep of growing plots and garden beds, collaborate with the lead to share ideas for creating a vibrant and inclusive gardening experience, and ensure that the allotment complies with Health and Safety regulations by identifying and addressing any issues.
The Link Charitable Trust is looking for someone who has basic knowledge of allotment gardening, is comfortable using tools and gardening equipment, and has some DIY skills to help keep the space in top condition. If you’re enthusiastic, proactive, and enjoy creating welcoming environments, this is the perfect role for you.
The Link Charitable Trust will provide all the tools and gardening equipment you need, along with safeguarding and additional training. A DBS check will also be carried out to ensure a safe and supportive environment for everyone involved. Please wear suitable clothing for an outdoor garden or allotment setting.
