This opportunity is based in Redcar & Cleveland
Skelton Primary School, located in East Cleveland, is looking for caring and enthusiastic volunteers to help the children develop a lifelong love for reading. Many of the children do not have the opportunity to practise reading at home, which can significantly impact their progress. With your support, you can make a real difference in their education and confidence.
Volunteering involves spending an hour or two a week during school hours listening to children read. You’ll work closely with the children near their classrooms, under the overall responsibility of the class teacher. This ensures a safe and supportive environment for both you and the students.
All volunteers will need to complete a DBS check, and your dedication will have a lasting impact on the lives of the children you support.
