A community centre based on the Owton Manor Estate are hoping to create a small play area and have a space to develop and maintain a small garden to grow vegetables for the youth club members.

Kilmarnock Road Children & Young People Family Resource Centre are a community centre based on the Owton Manor Estate, an area identified has having high levels of social deprivation. They provide access to a range of support services either via a partnership network or directly via resources that are already available. In addition, they operate youth club provision and provide rooms for other services to access.
The project is to develop the area at the side of the building to make an identified play area, and to create an area at the lower end of the space to develop and maintain a small garden to grow vegetables for the youth club members to either take home or prepare something to eat in youth club.
They would like to have the area completed for the beginning of Summer so they can plant seeds for the season ahead. The additional outside space will be useful during the Summer play scheme.
