Senses Wellbeing, a not-for-profit Community Interest Company in Skelton, is looking for a volunteer to assist with some hands-on tasks. This organisation provides a safe and welcoming space for individuals of all ages and abilities, including children and adults with additional needs, older adults living with dementia or Alzheimer’s, and those who are neurodiverse.
They offer sensory play sessions in their multi-use room and work closely with both specialist provisions and mainstream schools. Their facilities are also used as a venue for fitness and wellness activities, creating an inclusive environment for the whole community.
The tasks involve painting a gate and cupboard, as well as tiling above three small toilet sinks. All equipment and materials required for these jobs will be provided. A risk assessment is in place, but the role simply requires a common-sense approach to ensure safety, such as maintaining good ventilation, addressing any spills, and avoiding hazards.
