The Trust is seeking a talented individual to be a Trustee and a part of the Audit, Risk & Finance committee.

Applications will be welcomed from individuals who have the ability to work strategically, with experience of leadership at senior management or director level. Ideally, this would be in a charity, education or business sector with a deep commitment to community engagement and social purpose.

We would be particularly interested in hearing from individuals with knowledge and lived impact in any of the following areas of expertise:
Community action groups
Careers, employability and engagement
Supporting and improving better living opportunities

The Trust currently comprises of five Academies – Brambles Primary Academy, Discovery Special Academy, Dormanstown Primary Academy, Pennyman Primary Academy and Wilton Primary Academy.

All of the academies are located in areas of significant deprivation so the leaders are passionate about the difference education can make to children’s lives.

The Trust is seeking a Trustee with a commitment to transforming children’s life chances, the courage to make a difference, the care to want to and the creativity and curiosity to innovate on this journey.

The key responsibility of a Trustee includes:

• Constructively challenging and supporting the Trust CEO and executive team to offer the very best for the children, their communities and the profession.
• Trust Boards will meet at least four times a year in Middlesbrough or online.
  Each meeting is expected to last approximately three hours’ and all Trustees are expected to attend as many as possible.
• Audit, Risk and Finance will also meet three times a year in Middlesbrough or online. Each meeting is expected to last two hours.
• Your total commitment will be circa 7 meetings a year.
