Tees law firm Endeavour Partnership achieved its fundraising target with the support of the Philanthropic Foundation when donating £7,500 to Fairbridge House, the Middlesbrough centre of the Prince’s Trust charity.
Endeavour, who are patrons of the Philanthropic Foundation, raised the sum in a variety of ways including sales of planners featuring iconic local images by one of the firm’s team – keen photographer Nick Dent.
Other activities included sponsored walks, bake-offs and the Transporter Bridge challenge, which saw 15 of the team climbing the 210 steps to the top of the bridge.
The funds raised were match-funded by the Philanthropic Foundation, meaning that a total of £15,000 has now been donated to Fairbridge, which provides training and educational opportunities for 16 to 25-year-olds.
All of the 50-strong team at Endeavour Partnership took part in the activities, organised by Martin McKinnell and Catherine Devereux, who are responsible for the firm’s corporate and social responsibility and fundraising efforts.
Catherine said: “We are really proud to support the Prince’s Trust and we are thrilled to have been able to raise the level of funds we did.
“The whole team has been incredibly supportive and creative with their ideas for raising money. It’s been great fun and we are delighted that Teesside Philanthropic Foundation have match funded what we’ve donated to further help the brilliant organisation that is Fairbridge.”
Foundation chairman Andy Preston said: “Endeavour’s fundraising efforts have been tremendous. We’re very proud to be able to work with Endeavour to support Fairbridge, a local charity providing a great service for our young people.”
Lucy Bell, from the Prince’s Trust on Teesside, added: “What an achievement from the team at Endeavour! Their fundraising antics have been many and varied but we are overwhelmed by the generous donation and the incredible match-funding from the Philanthropic Foundation which will massively help local young people to achieve their goals.”
