Jo Reagan from Patron Azets UK visited High Tunstall College of Science on behalf of the charity to award them with £1,500 to purchase Lego sets for SEN children.
High Tunstall College of Science provides Lego therapy sessions to SEN children aged 11-14 to aid in the development of speech and language, communicative and social skills. The therapy sessions help learners develop fine motor skills in a fun, low-demand environment.
The project has been running successfully since 2017 and has had a massive impact on the children involved. They have developed different skills, such as speaking and listening, and most importantly, they have built friendships.
