New level of patronage to boost community impact

Published on: 8th April 2025

Businesses now have the opportunity to deepen their partnership with The Teesside Charity through a new level of patronage, enhancing their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) framework and amplifying their community impact.

The Teesside Charity is excited to announce the launch of its platinum patron tier. This initiative is designed to provide businesses with an enhanced opportunity to support the charity’s mission while making a significant contribution to improving the lives of those in the Teesside community.

Cleveland Cable Company and Pneuma Group have become the charity’s first two platinum patrons, setting a powerful example of corporate commitment to social responsibility.

Platinum patrons form an exclusive group of successful businesses and high-net-worth individuals dedicated to creating life-changing impact in Teesside through generous annual donations. Their support is pivotal in transforming the lives of many Teessiders in meaningful ways.

Beyond the financial contribution, platinum patrons will have the opportunity to actively engage in the charity’s work. This includes involvement in funding applications, visiting successful beneficiaries and recognising Teesside Heroes and grant recipients.

This level of commitment is ideal for those who seek to make a lasting positive difference in the community. With an annual minimum donation of £24,000, platinum patrons empower The Teesside Charity to expand its reach, supporting a variety of transformative initiatives across the region.

Harriet Spalding, chair of trustees, commented: “This generous commitment represents a powerful vote of confidence in our charity and its continued success.

“Donations of any size make a direct and tangible impact on the lives of Teessiders by funding vital programs and services. One of our key strengths lies in the significant difference we can make with even small donations. Just imagine the difference £24,000 can make.

“By getting involved as platinum patrons, companies enhance their corporate social responsibility profile and take an active role in creating lasting change in the region. We’re incredibly grateful to our first platinum patrons, Cleveland Cable Company and Pneuma Group, and we look forward to welcoming others to this tier.”

While Cleveland Cable Company and Pneuma Group are the first platinum patrons, The Teesside Charity hope they will be the first of many. This level of commitment is open to any business or individual who is passionate about supporting Teesside and driving meaningful, long-term change.
