We’re walking in a Gibson Wonderland after receiving the fantastic news of the continued financial support for our Foundation of two iconic Teesside brands run by Steve Gibson – while three other patrons have signed up to back us for another 12 months.
Both Middlesbrough FC and Boro chairman Gibson’s #Middlesbrough-headquartered company, Bulkhaul, have committed to another year backing our charity and those we support.
Thanks to Steve’s generous support, both MFC and Bulkhaul are now starting their eighth year on our list of Patrons – generous local companies and individuals who like to share their success with their fellow Teessiders.
Steve – or Gibbo, as he’s affectionately known among Boro fans – has been chairman and owner of Middlesbrough FC for a quite incredible 25 years and counting.
He has led the club from depths of administration when he first became a director to incredible successes on and off the pitch – most memorably the 2004 Carling Cup success and 2006 UEFA Cup final.
But perhaps less heralded is his generosity in supporting local charities and community groups – with perhaps the best example being MFC’s own charity MFC Foundation.
But we’re incredible proud to have Steve’s support for our work here at the Foundation – helping to making Teesside a better place to live and work.
And we’re absolutely delighted to have both MFC and Bulkhaul among our Teesside team of generous patrons.
And the good news kept coming when our long-term supporters px Group – the Stockton-based infrastructure solutions business – and Redcar’s First Choice Labels renewed their patronage and financial support for another 12 months, as did our individual patrons, husband-and-wife Ian and Adrienne Stark.
We hope the rest of our patrons will give us their ongoing and much appreciated support to ensure we stay proudly above a grand total of more than 50 patrons all fighting for Teesside together.
