Amazing people step forward in the darkest times – such as the 300 volunteers who are helping prepare and deliver emergency meals and groceries to some of the most vulnerable people in Hartlepool.
Our Foundation has donated £500 to Poolie Time Exchange – a project that’s part The Big League CIC – who are now making up to 1,000 deliveries a week of hot meals and food parcels to the most vulnerable Poolies during the coronavirus crisis.
Manager Ian Cawley told us: “The need for what we’re doing is vast – from vulnerable people stuck in their homes on their own without help or support, to those with ailments and serous illnesses.
“And we’re keen to with families with financial struggles who might be finding it hard to put food on the table amid the crisis.”
Based in Burbank Community Centre, Poolie Time Exchange needs more donations, which can be made via their GoFundMe page.
We’re proud to have played our part in their amazing crisis-time effort.
