Will you put your best foot forward for mental health? We’re inviting you to join us on a unique moonlit waterfall walk to raise funds for Teesside-based mental health charities.
Inspired by our Trustee Alisdair Beveridge of the Build Directory and one of our longest-serving Patrons Bill Scott, we will be starting a 10-mile walk at midnight and finishing as the sun comes up.
Our beautiful moonlight trek will follow the Pennine Way, a waterfall trail through Middleton-in-Teesdale that will take in the awesome High Force and Low Force.
There’ll be checkpoints along the way, serving hot drinks and there’ll also be an opportunity to drop out for anyone who feels unable to continue. We will be led throughout by expert guides from KUTA Outdoors, the people who run our annual Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.
Of course, a more significant challenge than the walk will be some fundraising to help us support mental health charities including the Headlight Project, the wonderful charity set up by Catherine Devereux following the tragic loss of her much-missed husband Russ.
There is an entry fee of £20, then we ask participants to raise £200 in sponsorship.
